Although the Model A was a great success in the 1930's with its 40 hp engine, the 65 hp version was sold as fast as they were made. Several hundred of these fine airplanes were manufactured, and the basic design continued into WWII as the Taylorcraft L-2, which was part of the military's "Grass Hopper Fleet".
